simple-p2p does not run cleanly on Cygwin.

From Craig Dowell:
I compiled it (dbg-shared) and ran simple-p2p.exe -- it does nothing.  I ran
with gdb and it complains about an unknown target exception.  It never even
gets to main().

I tried the dbg-static version and it does run, but seems to assert with
No registered DefaultValue="Queue"
