On Ubuntu 15.04 (64 bit) with g++-4.9.2 Virtual machine (running in windows 7 virtualbox)  with latest pull of netanim (ns-3 Release 3.23).  All netanim functionality appears to be working normally except the timeline wiper does not move from left side and cannot be used to control video playback.  The video does playback and speed can be controlled.

Well, i tried a few sample trace files, I couldn't see the problem. Perhaps it is a scalability issue. Is there a sample xml you can share?
