Description Federico Guerra 2016-06-06 05:58:22 UTC
A discussion should be started with Hossam in order to properly merge the latest AUV models:
- solar-energy-harvester,
- resonant-energy-harvester
- resonant-charger

the patchset should be provided and merged after the parent ticket 2404

Hi Hossam,
the original AUV code has been kindly provided by Adrea himself in ticket 2404.
Once that ticket will be merged I'd like to discuss and hopefully merge your latest auv models:
- solar-energy-harvester,
- resonant-energy-harvester
- resonant-charger

thanks

Federico

Hi Federico,

The original code provided by Adrea will not compile with the latest ns-3 releases.

Hi Hossam,
Andrea has provided the patch for ticket 2404 based on its original code which is also based on latest ns3 releases.

Even though these are especially meant to be used in AUV, if they're harvesters and chargers, then they should go into the energy model, isn't it ?

The point is: are they general enough to be used by other kind of object (let's say, a tethered balloon) ?

Yes, they are generic. I've already submitted them as a separate patch under the energy module. See Bug#2409

Then I'm missing the point of this bug... unless there are some more models.
Clarify please, otherwise I'd rather close this as a duplicate of Bug#2409

Yes, there are other models and enhancements to the existing ones.
