Ns-3 doesn't compile with the gcc version 4.4.0.RC20090414, this can be reproduced by setting the environment variable CXX=/usr/local/g++-4.4.0.RC20090414 and then executing ./waf configure and ./waf
The gcc 4.4.0 can be downloaded from the ftp://ftp.irisa.fr/pub/mirrors/gcc.gnu.org/gcc/snapshots/4.4.0-RC-20090414/
